If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that allows you to escape the crowds and connect with nature, look no further than the campsite in Majorca, VIC. I found this hidden gem on Hipcamp and was not disappointed.
Upon arriving, I was greeted with a beautiful summer’s day and the warm scent of a wood fire burning nearby. The host was friendly and gave me all the information I needed to make the most of my stay.
The campsite was surrounded by grazing sheep fields, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The nearby river provided the perfect spot to relax and take in the area’s natural beauty. I even caught a glimpse of fish swimming in the river and regretted not bringing my fishing rod.
I used my trusty wood fire stove to cook a delicious flame-grilled chicken with rice. The fire’s smokiness added an extra depth of flavour to the meal.
As the night settled in, I sat by the fire, sipping on a flask of red wine and listening to the sounds of nature. The cool breeze and the warmth of the fire made for a comfortable and relaxing experience.
I woke up the next day to the sound of sheep grazing outside my tent and made a cup of coffee to start the day. I didn’t need breakfast, knowing I would find a cafe on my way home.
Overall, this campsite provided the perfect escape from city life and everyday stress. The secluded location by the river and the peaceful atmosphere made for an unforgettable weekend getaway. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and natural retreat.
